Doris Orsan studied the violin at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the Juilliard School in New York as a scholarship student of the DAAD. She completed her concert and master class diploma with distinction and was awarded the Austrian Honorary Award for Culture for her achievements. She lives as a freelance musician in Munich, gives concerts as a soloist and chambermusician. Her dedication led her to introduce many new compositions for the violin. Lately she premiered three works for solo violin and chamber music dedicated to her by the Cuban composer Tulio Peramo-Cabrera and the „Dia loghi d’amore VII“ by Nikolaus Brass, which she recorded for the Bayerischer Rundfunk. Doris Kreusch-Orsan recieved a Ph. D. “summa cum laude” with a thesis on the violin concertos of Mozart. Her book was published by Königshausen & Neumann entitled “A genius matures”.
