The violinist Sandro Roy was born in 1994 as the youngest member of a Sinti family that has already produced a number of musicians. Sandro Roy, shooting star on the violin in the field of classical music and jazz, is considered one of the most promising young violinists in the world. In 2015 he released his debut CD “Where I Come From”. Since then, the exceptional young violinist has had a remarkable career, has been highly praised by the press and has played at various major festivals in Europe and the USA. In addition to appearances and prizes, several television appearances followed, including on the ZDF Morgenmagazin. In 2020, concerts at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Volksbühne Berlin and, as a highlight, his debut with his own band at the 41st Leverkusen Jazz Days, which was broadcast on the WDR television program “Jazzline”, followed. In 2021 he performed at other international festivals in Greece, Serbia, Switzerland and Austria. In 2022 he worked with the Stuttgart Philharmonic, the New Chamber Philharmonic Prague and the Bavarian Chamber Philharmonic.
