Services offered
The activities offered by the International Guitar Festival may be attended by active or passive participants (listeners). In addition to visiting or attending the daily seminars, workshops, masterclasses and lectures, each active participant is entitled to 4 periods of tuition, each of 45 minutes. The fingerstyle and jazz lessons may be held individually or in groups and will vary in their length.
In addition, you may attend instruction in chamber music, all elements of the seminar programme offered by the Hersbruck Music Academy and the closing concert on Friday afternoon.
One may book the whole programme or if desired, it is also possible to participate on individual days.
Teaching staff
When registering, please list those teachers with whom you would like to have lessons. Up to four teachers may be chosen.
We try to take everyone’s wishes into account but there is no legal entitlement. For this reason early registration is recommended.
If a teacher is already fully booked, you will be assigned to another. Teachers may only be able to take lessons in the morning or in the afternoon on their days of arrival and departure or if they are taking part in evening comcerts.
Proof of attendance
Each participant of the festival programme will receive a participant ID. This can be collected after checking in at the Infopoint in the Festival Centre.
Concert tour
Those who have booked the complete programme may attend all the concerts of the International Guitar Festival. A festival pass is included in the price.
If you are only taking part in the teaching programme on individual days, you will receive concert tickets for those days at a discounted price.
The tickets are not transferable to other persons and are valid only in connection with the participant ID.
Participant concert tickets are not available in advance or at the evening ticket office. Please order them directly in your online registration or via the registration form in the festival brochure.
Participant concert tickets are deemed to have been booked when payment of the invoice has been made. If the concert is sold out, the amount will be refunded. Until then there is no entitlement to the concert tickets.
Collection of the participant concert tickets
The participants must collect their tickets personally at the Infopoint in the Festival Centre by 5.00 pm at the latest. Otherwise, the ticket will be released for sale.
Accommodation and meals
Accommodation in single or double rooms and meals are available in the Festival Centre. If desired, please book this separately when you register.
Payment
After your registration you will receive an invoice for the total amount of your booking. The registration fee of 50 euros is payable immediately upon receipt of the invoice. The receipt of the registration fee will not be confirmed separately. The remainder must be paid no later than 31.07.
Cash payment is only possible in exceptional cases.
Your registration is only binding upon receipt of the registration fee.
The registration fee is charged for the course fees. In case of cancellation, the registration fee can not be refunded.
