Alfred Eickholt is head of a guitar class at “Music Academy Köln/Wuppertal” and is responsible for the didactic training of the instrumentalists. A considerable number of his students won national and international prizes in various well-known competitions. His concerts, CD and Radio Station recordings as a soloist and as a member of several chamber music groups e.g. in the “duo da camera” with André Sebald (solo flutist of the Cologne Philharmony) prove him to be an artist of high ranking. His pedagogical publications with renowned publishers like Schott, Universal Edition, Bärenreiter, his many obligations as a lecturer, reader and juror at international and national festivals, congresses, courses and competitions testify his reputation as pedagogical capacity of his instrument. Alfred Eickholt is chairman of the German section of EGTA (European Guitar Teachers Association) and member of the German Music Council.
